I don’t know if you know this, but society doesn’t place any fucking value on men’s virginity…nor has it ever systemically trained men to think of themselves as only being worthy of marriage if they’re still a virgin.
Society doesn’t tell men they’re tainted or dirty when they lose their virginity it praises them.
Society’s never PAID men’s families for their virginity…NOR HAS IT EVER PROMISED WOMEN who do good that they’ll get to “have sex with a 1000 virgin men” when they go to heaven.

in fact, men are ENCOURAGED to lose their virginity. the only time virginity is important for men is if they are “too old” when they lose it. even then it’s turned into a fun comedy of errors a la “40 Year Old Virgin.”
also, male masturbation is normalized basically from birth. women masturbating is (still) incredibly taboo. most girls don’t try masturbating until their teens and some won’t ever have an orgasm until their 20s.
women have the “purity” dogma so ingrained into them by society. men get the opposite. men are encouraged to explore their sexuality. women aren’t supposed to acknowledge their sexuality until they’re married, and then it’s only to please their husband or to have children.

In my country you have the ‘bible belt’ where this is still a thing but like 9/10 other girls lose their virginity before theyre married, marrying isnt as usual as it was anyways, and no one gives a fuck if a girl masturbates
so no im not joking, in my opinion this is oldfashioned crap, and i think girls shouldnt give a fuck about what society thinks because society also judges me for getting fucked by guys lol

just because it doesn’t happen often where you are does not invalidate the fact that it does happen in other places.
and yeah none of us should care what society and others think but many, including me, DO. i try every single day not to give a shit what people think about me but i cannot leave the house without shaving my legs and underarms if there’s even a mild chance of them showing and putting on makeup and wearing relatively nice clothes for fear of being looked at like i’m disgusting. i have been taught from childhood through the media that my worth lies in my appearance and that myth manifests itself in every thought and movement i make.
as a male living in what i assume is a very progressive state i don’t expect you to have lived through these things but if you could stop invalidating the experiences of those of us who have that’d be GREAT
I don’t see where i said you shouldn’t care about your appearance, this post was about losing your virginity wasn’t it? It doens’t care where you live, you’re a sheep if you do all that society says.
Also, the more woman say men are living the better life, the bigger the gap between men and women. think about it. stop throwing rocks at men, it’s 2013. Women are getting better jobs than men all the time look at hilary clinton.
